Negativity Addiction

Drug addiction can be scary and deadly. The look and feel of addiction is devastating to yourself and the people that are around you. Fortunately, there is treatment for drug addiction and also help groups for ongoing assistance to keep sober. I hope all get help with drug addiction and understand that you are not only hurting yourself but also hurting the people around you.

This post; however, has nothing to do with crack, heroin, meth, or any other physical drug that leads to addiction. This has everything to do with the drug of negativity that plagues so many human beings walking this earth today. Negativity is the cause of drug abuse, murder of another person and of yourself. When I speak of you murdering yourself from negativity, I don’t mean suicide. I am talking the murder of your mind and your growth in LIFE. It’s everywhere and you experience this addiction on a daily basis. It is killing us all day after day. You speak negative and think negative thoughts and don’t even realize it sometimes.

That Monday morning awakening has to be the most negative time for any 9-5 working person in this world. I am sure you knew some co-worker was going to get on your nerves at work today. There is never a park close to the place that I am going to. I never win anything! I hate my job, I just can’t lose this weight, I will never get that promotion, and so on and so on…. How do we get this negative and why don’t we realize how powerful the words and thoughts that we speak and think are? It is a condition that is given to you from birth for most people. Once you are of age to know better and think for yourself, you should then change your thinking and speaking. In order to change these thoughts, you have to reach out for help and acknowledge that you do have a problem (addiction). Just like a drug addict, you are more than likely surrounded by other negative addicts. There is no treatment center for negativity so this process of kicking your habit is much different from a rehab.

Rehabilitation of the mind is going to take you on many mental roller coasters and will seem like an impossible feat. This process can be helped with listening to positive people and changing your surroundings. Start reading great and inspirational literature, make your social network feeds reflect what you want in your mind, listen to great speakers, and control your controllable and what you can’t control understand the results and be at peace with just that. I get up every morning with a smile on my face and just speak out loud that I am grateful for all I have and all that will come to me in the near future. I don’t watch the news; I listen to music I love throughout the day. I listen to great motivational speakers on the ride to work and through the day. Every time I open my mailbox I know there is a check in there. It has not appeared yet but I am sure it will.

My happiness derives from not giving a damn what others are doing or what they are thinking. I am in control of my life and I want all to be in full control of their minds and spirits. Let’s break this addiction and bring others out of addiction and become better for the world to become better as well. I love all and want all to love themselves and one another. Being negative will not get you where you want in this life, and being positive isn't going to deliver right away sometimes but being persistent and confident in yourself and your thoughts will prosper.
