In the South there were lunch counters. In Chicago, there were ghettos. King moved into a third-floor slum apartment in North Lawndale — 1550 South Hamlin Ave. He fought for Americans everywhere in the country not just the south.

I love this picture. The city of Chicago has changed drastically. I am sure you will not find an Icon walking the south side streets of Chicago with his photographer alone. Rip Ali and we need more men to stand for something.  One of my favorite photos that shows where I come from and my roots. Children with no care in the world but having fun in the moment. Let's keep our children care free.  I Love this photo and it is by far my favorite. The boys are dressed to impress in their model poses. My favorite boy is the one with the glasses and the hat. This is when a suit was considered as "Nicely Dressed". This Picture will be in my Home soon. South Side of the CHI.  |
