Life
"Only you can define life for you" Ron.
This is a very touchy subject, but why not write about it. Racism is alive and has been from the beginning of time and doesn’t look to ever go away. The problem that I am having is why after so many years of this being the case, no one has adjusted to this reality. Human beings aren’t greatly acceptable to differences and that of course is ridiculous to me. This world has changed drastically since the beginning of time but it seems that people don’t adjust with the changes. Human beings could have been all one color, one height, one weight, one eye color and they would find something to separate themselves still. You would think in 2016 that RACISM wouldn’t be relevant, but it is picking up steam around the world. The discrimination is bigger than black and white. Religion is playing an even bigger part in racism.
The only answer for racism is exposure to other cultures at a very early age. When you are around different races and cultures and understand how they live their lives, you then are less likely to become a racist. Isolation to just your race hinders culture growth and growth in life. Racism isn’t necessarily taught from my experience. If a black child is raised in a black neighborhood, goes to a 100% black school, and rarely leaves his area, chances are racism will develop. Most think racism is primarily taught, but I think lack of exposure is the biggest culprit. People stay away from what they don’t understand or develop a fear of it. Place your children in interracial schools or programs. This will kill the racist bug early and at least give them the opportunity to develop their own opinion. Now this answer will not work for all and that is fine but at least you reduce the chances of hatred of another culture. I really want to speak to African Americans that use racism as a crutch for misfortune. I get it I get it, slavery existed at one point and the respect isn’t there for us. How long are we going to use this as an excuse? How is the “White Man” still holding us down. This excuse is past due and should be finished, but it’s still being used for a crutch. Turn down the handouts from the government that keep us from growing and empowering ourselves. The government can keep its food stamps, and all other bullsh*t benefits. We can make our own way. It’s time to adjust and stop blaming others for our lack of growth and independence in this life we live. The possibilities are endless today, and all we must do is put in some effort. We must have self-pride and instill that in our children for the future. Let’s teach entrepreneurship within our household and the community. No man or woman is stopping our greatness, we are stopping the greatness from entering our lives. As a black man, I understand my responsibility to give back to the community with my physical presence and voice. I love all races, shapes, religions, and so on. Spreading love is the answer, along with education. I know peace and unity is possible but we all have to want that in life. Written By Ronald Anthony Wilson

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything.
